Albergue parroquial SAN Miguel, A wonderful place for pilgrims and nice facilities. Relax outside at the tables while drinking a Tea or coffee or sit inside whilst engaging in conversation with the wonderful American hosts. They will show you a map of the town and there are plenty of restaurants to enjoy a nice meal or if you are on a budget there is a super market or so close by.( If you are vegetarian there is a restaurant called bar Mundo and get the delicious vegetarian option). In the morning before you leave enjoy the donativo breakfast that is set out. Albergue de peregrinos parroquial San Francisco de Asis tosantos
An amazing donativo albergue in the small two albergue town of tosantos. The man there is Spanish and everyone joins in to do a communal meal plus everyone helps to set up breakfast as well. Everyone sleeps on mattresses on the floor but it is ok. In the bathrooms some of the showers do not have locks. At about five pm somebody working there walks everyone up to the chapel on the hill in the cliff face close by. If you want a drink or a light snack across the road at the bar at other albergue where everyone relaxes inside or underneath the sun umbrellas that are Provided.At eight or nine pm everyone joins in for an evening prayer ( If you want to join in ). This goes on for about an half an hour then everyone joins in cleaning up the dishes from dinner then everyone goes to bed. In the morning enjoy the bread, jam, and coffee already set out. Plus he lets you leave the albergue later than usual. Albergue municipal de San Martín del Camino, After walking out of my Leon San Martín del Camino is the first town you stay in and if you have plans to stay at the albergue municipal you should be happy because it is an amazing place to relax. If you have children there are both playgrounds across the road and one that is part of the property.There is a nice cozy fire so when it gets cold at night you can relax around the fire. There is a restaurant in the town as well as a drink fridge at the Albergue so you can buy chilled beverages there the kitchen is fully equiped with appliances but the albergue does both breakfast and dinner but you have to write your name on the dinner list before 4 pm and the breakfast list before you go to bed. The breakfast is nice and is set up the night before so you can eat it early not waiting for it to be set out. Obviously not everybody has their own ideas but I personally really liked all those places as they all felt very welcoming and everybody was kindly and friendly.
